It's time for something new so here's a new wedding DJ playlist for the year 2010! These are the top 40 songs on the radio and in the clubs as of the beginning of this year. I know that some of these songs are a year old or older, but they still get people dancing! Sometimes when you are playing brand new songs at weddings, a lot of people don't know them yet, so the newer songs tend to empty your dance floor. For instance, 3 by Britney Spears is a great, very danceable song, but when I tried it recently, it emptied my dance floor! Ahhh! Well, the moment I started another song by Britney, it refilled the dance floor. How old is Womanizer now? But it worked! So as you pick these songs, you can try to be hip and cool with adding tons of new songs, but the truth is, you may be shooting yourself in the foot.
